2009 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Historic 1958 R8 Reissue (SOLD)
SOLD
What a guitar! Look at that rosewood fretboard! It’s has the BEST LOOKING ROSEWOOD BOARD what I’ve ever seen, without a shadow of a doubt. And I’ve seen hundreds…I would say it can be a Brazilian Rosewood board as it has all the typical signs of a Brazilian rosewood: the extra colours, the swirls…and the whole guitar is just singing. It’s hard to show these on pictures, you should pop in and check it out here. This fretboard looks absolutely killer. I’ve had many R8 Les Paul but this is a special one! Also the weight is great: it’s lighter than you would expect from a non-chambered LP. It shows that the timber was carefully selected by the luthiers at Gibson Custom Shop. The whole guitar sounds loud and resonates like hell. You don’t have to plug it into an amp to feel how good this one is. Another thing that I gotta mention is the action. This is unbelievable. The lowest action without any buzzing. This guitar is definitely the best Historic Reissue I’ve ever had here.
I’m sure you know the specs but it comes with Burstbucker pickups, Bumblebee capacitors, Vintage Gibson Kluson tuners…all these got a bit of special ageing treatment and the result is a serious looking, old Gibson Les Paul…
And here comes the money: this guitar is in MINT condition. Look at the pictures, no buckle rush, chips or dents. An extremely well looked after guitar. It still has the new Gibson smell. I think it was kept in its hard case for long long time.
It comes with its original Gibson Custom Shop hard case and ALL CASE CANDY (unopened), even with a Gibson lead. The whole package is AMAZING.
You can have this for the price of a brand new Les Paul Standard: £2300. I’m sure you know what is the difference between a production made Standard model and a Custom Shop made guitar…SOLD
