Here comes Mr Big Daddy! The R9 of the ES series! A lot of guitar for the money! A legendary instrument. A piece of history, a quite rare, a hard to find semi-hollow body 1959 Reissue Gibson ES-345. It the big brother of the 335. Same construction, same size, but it looks much fancier and has a very unique Varitone switch.

The double block inlays are very exclusive. The “block” version of the ES-335 guitars always a bit more expensive but this one has the much nicer double trapezoid inlays! The extra vintage looking buttons, double binding and the gold hardware turn this beauty to a very elegant, exclusive instrument. It’s got the famous VOS treatment so the gold hardware doesn’t look shiny anymore but still fantastic!

It was made in 2014 and every Gibson fans know it was a fantastic year. These Historic Reissue guitars come with amazing features that weren’t available before 2013: hot hide glue neck joint, aniline dye, amazing quality ultra thin nitro finish etc…this beauty also comes with the new MHS (Memphis Historic Spec – a kind of low wind Custom Bucker pick ups, all handwound in Memphis…). This comes with its certificate and the original hard case.

This is the most sought after colour and it has the most sought after neck shape: the famous 59 Gibson neck shape! It’s so easy to play…and it’s really really hard to find one of these 59 Reissue ES-345(!!!) on the second hand market.
Especially in this very very near MINT condition! It’s got a few micro scratches here and there but nothing serious (check the pictures I tried to show these). No dings, dents or buckle rash, just a little playing marks.

Well, the sound is killer. Warm, jazzy, mellow but it sounds wicked overdriven too! I don’t know how the hell did they design this at Gibson but it sounds ACE in almost every genres.
