2009 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul ’57 Historic Reissue (R7) (SOLD)

SOLD
Now we talkin’ look at this BEAST: everything is heavy, fat and one piece on it! ONE PIECE mahogany body (the Standard and Traditional models usually have 2 pieces centre joined mahogany body), one piece AMAZING rosewood fretboard (it looks amazing, it’s very figured, like the famous Brazilian rosewood fretboards. I don’t know if it’s Brazilian or not, but it looks special), one piece nice and chunky mahogany neck, bumble bee capacitors, Burstbucker pickups.
The result of these is warm, greasy and fat LP sound! I’ve had tons of Les Pauls and I can state that this has such an incredible feel and sound!

This beauty has been owned by a collector and it’s in MINT condition. If you after a classic American guitar it’s hard to beat a Gibson Goldtop. Especially if it’s made by the guys at the Gibson Custom Shop… they know how to build a really good guitar!

Specs of the ’57 R7 include: carved maple top over a solid (non-weight relieved) mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck with early ’50s rounded profile, long neck tenon, Burstbucker 1 and 2 pickups, low-wide vintage frets, nickel hardware, ABR-1 nickel bridge, 24-3/4″ scale, and 1-11/16″ nut width. Setup is impeccable. Like most Historic Reissues, this one has the VOS treatment. Not quite a relic, Gibson’s VOS process produces the slightly dull patina of a vintage guitar with a thin nitrocellulose finish and the nickel hardware is also dulled as you would expect on an original example. The Custom Shop sticker is easily removable from the scratch plate.

The guitar comes with its original black Gibson Custom Shop case and of course it’s Certificate of Authenticity and hang tags. Have a look at the pictures.
Goldtop LPs look fantastic on stage and posters. It has a serious presence.

These Custom Shop built LPs hold their value the most, so it is a great investment too!
With a new one selling for £3300, why not save a lot on this great example and buy this MINT EXAMPLE for £2300? SOLD
