2000 Martin 000-28 (SOLD)
SOLD
A fantastic 2000 Martin 00028 with original case! This model is one of the favourites of Eric Clapton, his own signature model based on this!. These guitars are the industry standard guitars for decades. Elvis, Bob Dylan, Clapton, Lennon…so many legendary songs and artists…
It’s very hard to find a nice second hand example since Martin came out with the Eric Clapton signature model which based on this model.
This model is featuring a Solid Sitka Spruce top, solid Rosewood back and sides and it just sounds great and expensive (I think everybody can tell immediately after the first chords that this is a very premium acoustic guitar) That combination of tone woods gives you a tone that wonderfully rounded and warm with enough spring and brightness from the spruce to give you all the definition you could want.
Not just the tone woods, the building process, the bracings all the parts on the guitar are top end: solid mahogany blocks, Boltaron binding and decorations, solid black ebony fingerboard, real bone nut.
Here’s what Martin have to say about the 000-28
Classic styling with a tight-waisted Auditorium body shape, the 000-28 has solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, a Sitka spruce top, polished gloss finish and a hand-fit dovetail neck joint. This model produces a rich and full-bodied tone.
This is a 17 years old guitar with only a minimal signs of play wear and a small mark on the top (which I have tried to photo).
It’s a terrific guitar as you would expect from this world-class manufacturer (Martin build guitars since 1833!!!!)
At £1500, it’s a great buy on a legendary Martin model that goes around £2700 in the high street shops…SOLD
